Product: Dave’s Killer Rockin’ Grains English Muffin
Per Dave, Dave’s Killer Bread English Muffins, Rockin Grains, are “Power-packed with killer grains and seeds (flax seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, millet and quinoa,) and no bleached flour or high fructose corn syrup, they’ll rock your world.”
Why Did We Try Rockin’ Grains English Muffin?
“I don’t like anything on my plate except for the toast.” Said son #1 one about dinner last night.
That’s why I put it there. When we offer unfamiliar/new foods on our kids’ plates, it’s important to pair them with something familiar so they don’t completely shun the meal/mealtime. Bread, pasta, or cheese quesadillas are usually one of those familiar foods in our house.
It’s one of the reasons we tried Dave’s Killer Rockin’ Grains English Muffins.

Rockin’ Grains English Muffins: How Many Stars?
Our 5 Star Rating
Taste: 4/5 stars
Delicious, whole-grain nutty flavor. Like all English Muffins, they are best when toasted. All kids gobbled it up…when topped with butter, of course.
Nutrient Density: 3/5
In comparison to similar brands and products, the Rockin’ Grains muffin was similar in all areas of nutrition except it was higher in sodium. The sodium content was almost 2x higher compared to the Light Thomas English Muffin. Bread is actually one of the largest contributors to sodium in Americans’ diets, and you can that there can be large differences between brands. It’s important to compare nutrition facts labels.
Value: 2/5
A delicious tasting muffin with a significant contribution of whole-grains. You do get a bit more sodium for a higher priced muffin.
Overall Rating of Rockin’ Grains English Muffins: 3/5 Stars
How We Tried It
As a base for my mushroom meatballs with arugula and Parmesan! The boys loved the English muffin as a bread side with dinner.
