How MNT Genetic Testing Works

- Once your test has been ordered, you will receive a kit in the mail which you will provide a saliva sample and return to our federally certified laboratory. Your genetic data is kept in a private, secure database.
- In 3-4 weeks, you will receive your genetic analysis report along with a sample diet and exercise plan
- McDaniel Nutrition will set up a 45-minute telehealth consultation to review your results and provide next step strategies to support what your genetic test reveals

We’ve built a custom genetic report just for our McDaniel Nutrition Therapy clients which include the analysis of 30 genetic traits that our clients often request. The Custom Report is built for those who want to know more about all 4 key areas of health including:
Weight Management: Includes an assessment of genetic markers related to your ability to lose and maintain weight.
Markers include: Metabolism, Weight Loss Tendency, Weight Regain, Satiety, Overweight Risk, and Carb, Protein and Fat Utilization.
Healthy Living: Assesses genetic markers related to healthy aging regarding nutrient, food, activity and lifestyle recommendations to keep you looking and feeling young.

Once your order is confirmed, a genetic testing kit will be sent to your house with instructions for collecting your DNA sample. Three to four weeks after submitting your sample, you will receive your results and we will contact you to set up a consultation for you to review your results with a dietitian on our team.
