Pumpkin Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 T. butter
  • 1 T. flour
  • 2 c. 2% milk
  • 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
  • 1/4 c. parmesan cheese
  • 1 T. maple syrup
  • 1 t. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 t. ground sage
  • 1 t. salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium sauce pan, over medium-high heat, melt butter for 30 seconds then add flour. Whisk into a paste and add milk until it thickens (about 8-10 minutes).
  2. Stir in canned pumpkin through salt.
  3. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Combine with entire package of cooked fall zucchette pasta.
