Ingredients
Scale
- 1 c. of whole-wheat flour
- 3/4 t. baking powder
- 1/4 t. baking soda
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1 1/4 t. ground ginger
- 1 t. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 t. ground nutmeg
- 1/8 t. ground cloves
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. molasses (can also use honey, maple syrup)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 t. vanilla extract
- 1 T. melted butter
Instructions
- Start by mixing the dry ingredients in a bowl
- In a separate bowl, mix in the molasses, water, egg, vanilla, and melted butter
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Heat a non-stick pan and add 1/4-cup scoops of the batter. Cook pancakes on one side until bubbles begin to form, then flip and cook on the other side.
- Serve with your favorite toppings!
